Covid-19 – Operating practices designed to help minimise the risk of the transmission of Covid-19 – please try and adhere to the following guidelines in the interests and safety of everyone – thank you

We have done our best to consider available guidance to minimise the possibility of transmission and are acting accordingly – please see below for further information and guidance

Symptoms: If you or your household show any Covid-19 symptoms then you should not come to the campsite. If you have been told to self-isolate because you have been in close contact with someone with Covid-19 you should not come to the campsite. If you develop symptoms while staying on the campsite, you should immediately pack up your pitch and go home – do not risk spreading the infection.

Social Distancing

Our pitches are spacious and clearly marked so you can easily keep a safe distance from other campers. Please do not spread out to the edges of your pitch, instead leave space between yourself and your neighbours. When walking around the campsite do not cut through other people’s pitches, walk around and make sure you give them adequate space. There are woods and a village play area next to our campsite, please ask your children to run around and play there, do not let them run onto other people’s pitches. Please supervise your children at all times when on the campsite. Please keep a safe distance from other campers and from us.

We love talking to you all but this year we may not be able to stop and chat – hopefully next year we can catch up on everything with everyone.

Sanitisation

Please bring hand sanitiser and soap with you and frequently clean your hands. We have provided hand sanitiser at the key contact-risk points such as café and toilets, and hand soap in the toilet areas but please ensure you take responsibility for regularly cleaning your hands.

Contacting us/Check-in/Reception

Unless it is an emergency please do not come to the back of the house. Instead text us your question. We will respond by text or if necessary we will come to your pitch and speak to you about the issue in a safe, outside environment.

Reception at the back of the house will be closed. Only ring the back door bell in an emergency. In all other instances please text us your query (number at back of house & at the cafe) we will respond by text. If this is not possible we will come and discuss the query outside by your pitch.

Checking in: Please do not check-in with us when you arrive. We will email you or the leader of your group a map of the campsite and your pitch(es). Please find your pitch(es) and set up. If you have any questions please text us (number at back of house, at the cafe & indicated in the confirmation email). We will respond as soon as we can. If you are not sure where your pitch is or if there is someone on your pitch that shouldn’t be there then text us and we will meet outside to answer any questions/concerns. You can arrive any time after mid-day.

Departure: Please depart by mid-day

Fridges and Freezers: these will no longer be available in reception at the back of the house. They are located outside the black toilet/shower buildings. Before using the fridges/freezers please use hand sanitizer. If anyone else is using the fridges/freezers please wait at a safe distance until the person has left. Try to limit what you put in the fridge/freezer and the times each day when you access it. Ideally bring your own cool box and keep perishable food in there. Do not send your children to get things from the fridge/freezer.

Toilets / Showers: We have three separate and spacious toilet/shower blocks. These are always kept very clean. We will be cleaning all surfaces multiple times a day. The main facility doors will be secured open.

Please use hand sanitizer before entering and wash your hands thoroughly with soap before leaving. Please keep a safe distance from other people using the toilet facilities. Keep your distance if you need to queue to get into the toilets. Do not wait inside. Do not throw rubbish on the floor – use the bins provided.

DO NOT PUT WET WIPES DOWN THE TOILET (or anything other than toilet paper). Put wet wipes in the bins provided. We have a cess pit system – we are not on mains drainage. If you put anything other than food you have previously eaten or toilet paper down the toilet it will block our system and the toilets will flood with sewage.

Supervise young children in the toilet facilities – actually supervise them at all times on the campsite!

Washing up: Hot water washing up facilities will be in place & accessible. Ideally if you can do your washing up at your pitch it will help minimise interaction.

Firepits, wood and farm-shop supplies:  You can collect these from the café area between 6pm-7pm. Please queue at a safe distance. Payment is preferred by contactless card when collecting. You can also order bacon/sausages and eggs at the same time.

Rubbish & recycling bins. Please do not leave rubbish next to the bins. The rubbish bins are for every-day rubbish only. Do not put tents, duvets, BBQs, tables, sofas, carpets, large amounts of packaging, broken chairs or other crap in them – take it to the tip on your way home. Please only put dry mixed recycling loose & not in black bin bags in the recycling bins. Please put glass to be recycled separate and loose in the glass bin provided.

Café: the Blue Rabbit café will be open. It is an outside café and the tables will all be all two metres from each other.

There are tables in front of the food truck to ensure a safe distance is maintained and food can be safely given to customers.

  • • Please decide what you want to order before approaching the food truck.
    • Do not linger at the food truck trying to make up your mind
    • One person from each group should make the order, the rest should stay at their table
    • Payment by contactless card is preferred
    • Once you have ordered please follow the signs and move back to your table
    • Please bring your own cutlery and cups where possible.
    • Hand sanitizer will be provided.
    • When you have finished eating please place your plates etc on the large metal box. Put rubbish in the bin.
    • There will be no condiments for communal use, if you want ketchup please bring your own or ask and I will put it on the side of your plate.

Egg-Collection and animal feeding: We are hoping that ‘egg collection & animal feeding’ will be happening again in 2022 but we are taking it all one step at a time and will try to update you nearer the time of your booing. You are welcome to walk between our fields and look at the animals but don’t swing on the gates, touch fences or feed the animals.
